Improve credit score
Pull your credit report at AnnualCreditReport.com and make sure all entries on your report are correct
Stay current on your bills
Don't open new accounts
Don't cancel credit cards, but by all means pay them down
Higher credit score equals a lower interest rate
Get mortgage pre-approval
